great work with the hdr-mode. i can now run it proberly on my gtx 570 at ~25 frames, before the update no chance to do that 🙂
what would you think, would you recommend to upgrade from gtx 570 to 670, would it be a great performance boost if i wish to max out the settings?

You definitely did something wrong. b1 to b2 was indeed a small update (24MB or something – don’t remember).

I am not sure why you move stuff around, but maybe I just don’t understand your setup.

With b2, for the first time I can actually see what XP10 is really capable of doing. I already had most of my settings maxed out but now, for the first time, I can have clouds without the fps impact of 10.05.

I dont like the fact that the liveries change tab is no longer in the aircraft tab. That would be nice to have back. Without HDR on the street lights seem way too dark. With HDR on it looks slightly better. There are some flickering of scenery buildings and KSEA KSFO KMIA all add on payware so not sure what that is. At altitude it looks nice for sure world is a bit brighter for sure.

Beta 2 solved a couple issues. With little ol OS Win7 64 bit, RAM of 6G
Video is NVIDIA GTX 470 1.2GB (Driver ver 301.42)
Processor Intel Core i7 950 3.06ghz (Quad core)
Saitek Pro Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder pedals. I did take heed of your testing with the Beta only but I am having “fun” with it. Running with HDR selected, FPS average of 30, most rendering settings on the high side, with airport detail at Extreme. Beta two fixed my 4XSSA trouble, its all smooth. GPU load around 98% but its all still very smooth with no slide shows so far.
Bottom line, I could not run HDR before 10.10, I can now.
Yoke much more stable within aircraft vs 10.10b1.

Seems to be reinstalling Aerosoft scenery today. I just slid the Custom Scenery folder from the b1 folder to b2 before the update and Aerosoft sceneries were otherwise untouched from the b1 update. Why would it reinstall them!? I also replaced a whole lot of .05rc files with ones from b1 and so expected something in the order of 40MBs or less for the b1 to b2 update.
