And please place that log-file somewhere else. After each update or even search for update I have to delete the updater-log from my desktop… You can place it in the x-plane folder, rather than bloating my now totally clean desktop every single time I run the updater/installer 😛

Yep, almost killed 100 people approaching Palm Springs last night.

How about adding a check box. [] download new beta after scanning for files.

Ben,

Thanks for your quick reply.

Completely understood. I guess I’ll look into a ‘proper’ ATI/AMD or NVIDIA video card. I just didn’t want to do so if Intel support was lurking around the corner!

Thanks again,
Mike

my question is because in my city (where i “play”) there are mountains around, and there are specific procedures, ATC currently send planes right through the mountains on aproach

Thanks for all your efforts to make the best simulator, some time ago I stopped playing out of frustration, because I have a powerful computer, and framerate were not good. in the last beta everything is going perfect! clouds in 80%, maximum settings, complex scenarios, hdri on, etc … nice work!, now again my brain starts to dream, I have several questions but for now I’ll only make one: any plans to adopt airport approach and departure procedures for IA??? something like taxi networks but outside the airport??

Re: Linux and Intel, I have no idea. It’s really, really not a priority, nor is supporting Mesa or open source drivers. It’s just a question of dev resources. I need to stay focused on bugs that affect everyone.

Apologies for going off topic, but your previous post on Intel graphics (specifically Intel HD 3/4000) seems to be archived/closed.

Do you suppose we’ll ever see support for Intel HD Graphics under Linux? The Intel HD 4000 graphics were actually pretty serviceable (for me, anyway) under a trial of Windows 8 I was running, but I’d prefer not to run that OS. Is there any interest in log.txt output from such a configuration or would I be wasting time for both of us?

If not, I guess I need to decide if I want to plunk down $100 on a ‘real’ video card or on a copy of Win8!

In an effort to be at least /slightly/ topical, the x86_64 build of X-Plane 10 starts just fine on my setup until it comes time to do OpenGL stuff! 🙂

Thanks,
Mike
