We are investigating that now. Generally speaking, if you have a 3-d cockpit and you have mapped the existing instrument (62 pixels tall) from the 3-d panel texture to that 3-d cockpit, it’s going to be hard to read in the 3-d cockpit, because the panel texture is too low res. That’s not something X-Plane can work around internally. We’re looking at the best compatibility options, and a user can always click on the small instrument to get the big clean popup version. We’ll post guidelines once we’ve found the best options.

Are there any compatibility problems which would result from differences in the texture resolution used in existing cockpit panels and the texture resolution used for the new 430 instrument. Hopefully, the “snap-in” is meant to be truly automatic and would occur for current dual 430 cockpits also.
Good Work!

If I position my aircraft at KDFW with the NAV1 frequency shown in your image, the morse ID is CAE, and the aircraft’s DME display shows 28 nm, in agreement with your image. (The default GPS, on the other hand, shows 4960 nm to the VOR station, so it’s not just in the UK that it gets this wrong; moreover, the distance doesn’t even change when I change the frequency.)

Now I’m REALLY looking forward to this one. Thank you.

Sorry to report, for me at least, double clicking doesn’t do it.

Will give that go and report back. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, the sequence for doing that is press the -D-> button twice.

Aircraft equipped with the stock FMC, however, do allow a “one click” position refresh, allowing regular updates during the flight.

Question: Will the new 430/530 have such a “one click” refresh option?

All of the above is supported to be flown with and also displayed correctly by the 430.
