Seasonal textures are for third parties to dive into now – the sim is capable of seasonal third party add-ons.

We will bring gateway airports into early betas of major patches, and do smaller releases to get gateway airports out as well.

We are not going to put gateway airports into bug fix releases (e.g. critical crash fixes after a major release) because our goal on these is stability.

We are not going to put gateway airports into late betas for similar reasons.

Anyway, we’ll look at the next gateway snapshot as soon as 1040 is stable.

But now I’ve spent an entire afternoon playing with the weather in realtime – it is so much fun blowing the light aircraft off the runway during taxiing, and taking off like a kite in the Cirus C4.

Thanks!

ps
What’s the plan for releasing updates of the airports from the Gateway?
Could you constantly update them on every beta release? I believe the snapshot from the gateway was from the first public release of 10.40 beta, not of the date of the final release.

Honestly…I think the probability of an Android port of Control Pad is low. Development of ports to Android are surprisingly expensive in terms of engineering time. Android simply doesn’t have as good tools for _native_ application development as iOS does, and the variation in devices and the plethora of old operating systems in the field makes an Android beta significantly trickier too.

Amazing work. I have two android tablets running in my setup FMC / Android to X-plane / Naviator…

My question is: Will the control app have an android counterpart?

No. There is no confirmation process for the bug reporter.

Because, 10.40 is so great for heavy metal flying, having some traffic is the ONLY thing missing now… but I just can’t put up with the current state. When you’re missing your approach because the ATC was too busy talking to retarded AI pilots and simply didn’t get through to you…
