If your joystick throttle axis won’t move the throttle (but will move in the axis tab) it could be that the autothrottle is on – autothrottle state appears to be saved across sim runs and airplanes in X-Plane 10.  I am investigating this and we should have a fix soon, but in the meantime if you’re stuck, you may have to open a plane with an autothrottle on the panel (or use a key command) to turn it off.

  1. Hi,
might be OT, because I don’t have a stuck throttle but am stuck with my throttle. Which is a PFC analog console with a serial-to-usb converter. XP freezes when I try to access its settings in the menu.

Any hints? (pls disregard/delete if inapproriate)

  2. That happened to me a week ago and I figured that out, I mean that was the auto-throttle which was still on and for unknown reasons even restarting x plane and my Imac din’t reset it (I had a button assigned to A/T in my yoke). It was a nightmare that last the whole evening. I thought that it was normal such a behavior with x plane 10 since I am new to this simulator, I know now that I wasn’t crazy. Thanks so much for looking into this!

  3. happens to me all the time. I was going nuts about it. another way to fix this is to load a situation in which everything worked fine (i.e. save a situation right after install).
